Birthday Week

Can you believe I'm one? Here's a recap of how I celebrated last week...

Mommy and daddy took me on my birthday to the mall to meet up with Joe, Sara, Anna and Ella. GrandMellie came too!

She brought me a surprise cookie for dessert...

I ate every bite (except that I shared half with my best bud, Anna.)

And Anna shared her Veggie Tales Birthday book with me. Sara read it to us after dinner.

Then we went to the play area. This was my first time so I was very excited!!

I played peek-a-boo with mommy. Can you see me?

And I did it again in the tunnel. This was probably my most favorite thing to play on.

Saturday was my big party. I spent the morning running errands with daddy and when we got home he took me over to the playground to swing for the first time. Mommy just realized while posting that he did not have me in the swing correctly. She said she will have a talk with him. No wonder I felt so insecure in that thing!! : )Sara, I put this one on here so you can steal it for your collection. : )

We had a contest to see who could drink from a bottle the fastest, and to keep it fair, I was not allowed to play. : ( Uncle Jonathan won although most of his orange soda ended up on the floor because he bit the nipple on the bottle too hard! I think mommy used the slow flow ones by mistake so they got a little frustrated. I totally know how that feels!

Daddy switched out my carseat that weekend too. I love the arm rests! Now I can watch mommy and daddy drive and not get dizzy when the cars pass by!

Bring on the Sweets!

Ok so it's been a big Valentine's weekend for me! Rhonda came to my house on Saturday and took amazing pictures of me since I'm turning one year old this week. Here's a sneak peek:

There was a red cherry made of icing on top of my cake, but I ate it as soon as I saw it. : ) Thanks, Jill, for the yummy cake!

As soon as they put the cake in between my legs I had the sudden urge to mark my territory. So I did. That's what they get for taking my clothes off for more pictures!

Sunday, the whole fam went up to Club LeConte for brunch after church. GranMellie gave me a sweet Winnie the Pooh card for Valentine's Day!

Don't ask what my Aunt Bee is doing in this picture!?! I have no idea!

After I ate all of my lunch, I wanted to eat what everyone else was having too. Daddy fed me a strawberry and it was over then...

I ate another...

and another....

and another!

And that evening Granddad and GranMellie took me and mommy and daddy to the Creamery for dinner. So I had a few...

"more"!!!

(I'm signing it in case you didn't know.)

And this morning mommy didn't think I would ever wake up. Usually I'm stirring around 7:30 and mommy gets me up at 8:00 but she tried and tried and I didn't move until 9:00. I think I was in a sugar coma from such a sweet weekend. They sure broke me in to sweets right!

Mommy hopes this is how I will always respond to sugar!

Snow Days

Ok, so sorry for the delay but it's been a crazy week. I thought I was over a bad cough/bacteria infection after a dose of Amoxicillin; but yesterday broke out into a terrible rash. Went to the doc today and found out it's viral (maybe from the meds) and I have a double ear infection! I am eating well and playing great so Mommy and Daddy were shocked at that news. Hope to be looking better asap (I gotta get clear for my big birthday bash soon!). So, here's what I did when it snowed last weekend...

Played wii with Daddy.

Got dressed to go to Mellie and Granddads to sled. Can't move but I'm smiling anyway!

Sled didn't work too well, but here's a photo of our efforts. : )

Wasn't the snow beautiful? It was the first big snow at our new house...

Here's the pool and playground where I will be spending most of my time with Mommy this summer...can't wait! (It's gotta get a LOT warmer!)

Anna and Ella came over to play...I found out when I woke up from my nap and somebody was in my bed!

Anna held my hand while we cuddled with Mommy before bedtime.

The next day Mommy took me out on the porch to play in the melting snow.

Didn't like it at first...

But it was fun feeling the cold ice when Mommy took my gloves off! I was over it shortly after that!

Mommy and I went to Wal-Mart on Monday and I loved watching the fish. Maybe I can talk Daddy into my very own one day!?!

Ok, Mommy wasn't supposed to put this one up but here I am with crazy bed head after a nap one evening. I'm not sure how my hair got like this?? It was pretty funny to Mommy!
