Pumpkin Carving

Hi guys! I've been so excited about pumpkins this fall ever since mommy and daddy bought me my first one at Freedom's Fall Frenzy. It's been sitting on the front porch for a few weeks and just looked like it needed some personality, so daddy helped me give it a face. Check out this 2-day process...

Now that's one cool pumpkin! It even has "fire" in it. I could not go to sleep tonight I was so excited about my pumpkin and it's fire. Thanks daddy!!

The Past Month

Ok, so Mommy hasn't been spending as much time on the computer these days because she has a new Droid phone and uses it for picture taking and Internet. But I did manage to get her to capture a few photos this past month from various activities that I would like to share with you so here we go... We spent the Saturday before Father's Day at Mamaw and Papaw Brown's house.

I didn't care for the pool too much but as long as Daddy had me I cooperated.

Papaw got me nice and relaxed for my nap.

Mommy went to the Melting Pot with Aunt Bee, Aunt Whit, and Mellie to celebrate a very belated Mother's Day. It was also a "Last Supper" with Bee before she headed up to New York for a few classes this summer. She is having a blast up there by the way. I hope she comes back to see me soon!

Well, this is all I got for the 4th of July. We went to church and planned to stay for hot dogs but Daddy said it was way to hot and too long of a wait since I needed a nap. Mommy wanted to take my picture when we got home but I was NOT in the mood!

Sorry it's been slim pickin's lately...hope to have more photos to share with you soon! In the meantime, Mommy is now on Facebook and updates more often there with her phone. Have a great day! Love, Joel

Mother's Day Weekend

I'm a little behind on my posting these days...but better late than never right? Anyway, here are some pictures from a zoo trip with Anna and also some with my family on Mother's Day.

First Haircut

Today was a big day for me and Aunt Whit. She had her first client and I had my first haircut! We arrived at Vibe at 9:00 this morning. I was in a good mood until we walked in and Whitney picked me up...

Wasn't sure what was about to happen.

First lock of hair was gone before I knew it!

Mommy gave me a sucker to keep me distracted...it worked!

Ok...a little too close for comfort. (Whitney cut her finger so I was really nervous she would take a piece of my ear too!)

Sucker juice is now running down my cape and onto mommy and the floor...yuck!

Almost done. I didn't make a fuss until my sucker was almost gone. Mommy took it from me so I wouldn't get choked. (I had stick and all in my mouth.)

Being a big boy sure wears me out!

Update...

Sorry it's been awhile since my last blog. I'm a very busy boy (which means mommy is a very busy girl) now that I'm walking. Here's what I've been up to lately: Enjoyed my first banana split at Marble Slab with mommy and daddy on family night.

Loving this nice weather! I get to help daddy water the plants and yard and love spraying myself with the hose!

Mimi is doing so much better. She can pick me up and take care of me again. Yay!

I'm now eating big boy foods on my big boy plate!!

Went to Club LeConte with mommy and daddy to celebrate Mimi's 50th birthday last week...

Uncle Jer and Aunt Char came too!

Wish you could have seen my whole ensemble for the event. Pinstriped pants and polo shirt with my Converse tennis shoes and of course a sport coat since it was a formal affair!

Mimi had the most delicious cake picked out by daddy from Sam's.

I shared mine with Poppy!!
