Nashville and the Zoo

Last weekend Mommy and I went with Daddy on a business trip to Nashville... I ate like a big boy without my highchair in the hotel room.
Daddy took me swimming. I love the water now!

It got me very warm and relaxed before bed. I had my own room in the hotel room...the closet!

To pass the time I also played on the pillows....

And made a drum out of the room service dishes!

We went to Opry Mills and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. I was not afraid of the storm at all. They gave me crayons and Mommy let me try using them for the first time. Believe it or not, I did not put them in my mouth!!

I loved eating by the fish tank! Maybe Daddy will let me have some to keep in my room??

(This is a random picture of Daddy helping me move the car.)

Saturday Unkie went with Mommy and me to the zoo. We had so much fun that we went back today with more friends...

We watched the monkeys for a long time. Baby George crawled right down to the window!

Caeden watched the baby monkey with me on the step.

We went to the Wee Play area and I discovered what I want when I turn 16...a Jeep Wrangler!

Paige and Parker enjoyed a ride too!

I wanted back in when I saw Anna playing in the car. She shared with me!

Gran Mellie went with us and helped me walk to my stroller after we were done playing.

I loved eating my first peanut butter sandwich!!

After lunch, we went to the petting zoo. I was not afraid of the goat at all. I went right over and petted his nose.

Since we were there during my usual morning naptime, I was a little tired. Not sure what I'm thinking about here...bed?? blankie?? air freshner??

Lexie brushed the goats. Mommy didn't let me use a brush because I would have thought it was for my hair (which needed some work today as you can see below).

Whew, what a fun but tiring day. I didn't even make it to the interstate!

What I've been up to...

Sleeping in my new carseat on Sunday mornings after church (I never take my usual morning nap when I'm in that busy nursery)... Playing in pillows (I love to jump on them and make a hole in the middle to lay in)...

Enjoying time with friends (Isaac's Mommy brought Mimi dinner one night and I got to play with him since I was there that day)...

Practicing my walking (I helped Daddy move Mimi's walker. She fell down the steps and broke her ankle, pelvis and wrist so she is having to have some help walking for a few weeks.)...

I've gotten lots of practice walking by helping Mimi with her walker. Just last weekend at her house I took my first steps. I'm getting more and more confident and walked halfway across the room tonight on my 13 month birthday. I'm so big!

Hope you feel better soon, Mimi! I love you!

Birthday Week

Can you believe I'm one? Here's a recap of how I celebrated last week...

Mommy and daddy took me on my birthday to the mall to meet up with Joe, Sara, Anna and Ella. GrandMellie came too!

She brought me a surprise cookie for dessert...

I ate every bite (except that I shared half with my best bud, Anna.)

And Anna shared her Veggie Tales Birthday book with me. Sara read it to us after dinner.

Then we went to the play area. This was my first time so I was very excited!!

I played peek-a-boo with mommy. Can you see me?

And I did it again in the tunnel. This was probably my most favorite thing to play on.

Anna is so silly!

I love my mommy!

Saturday was my big party. I spent the morning running errands with daddy and when we got home he took me over to the playground to swing for the first time. Mommy just realized while posting that he did not have me in the swing correctly. She said she will have a talk with him. No wonder I felt so insecure in that thing!! : )Sara, I put this one on here so you can steal it for your collection. : )

GrandMellie and Granddad

Thanks, Jill for my yummy cake! I ate that cherry (again) as soon as it was put in front of me...

Mommy's great friend, Lauren, came to celebrate!
And Papaw and Mamaw Brown. Here's Aunt Gisela and Cuz Sophia too.
...and my goofy aunts and uncle!

We had a contest to see who could drink from a bottle the fastest, and to keep it fair, I was not allowed to play. : ( Uncle Jonathan won although most of his orange soda ended up on the floor because he bit the nipple on the bottle too hard! I think mommy used the slow flow ones by mistake so they got a little frustrated. I totally know how that feels!

Time for presents!! Thanks, Peyton and Anna, for helping me open them!

Daddy switched out my carseat that weekend too. I love the arm rests! Now I can watch mommy and daddy drive and not get dizzy when the cars pass by!

Aunt Charity took a lot more great pics so I may add them to the post once I get them...keep checking in!
